Please dress appropriately for the outdoors as this event will take place rain or shine. Lunch is included with registration along with resource packets, and a native oak with a protective tree tube and fiberglass pole. This workshop includes a trip to Wildtype in Mason, where owner Bill Schneider will provide a tour around this unique native plant nursery and participants will have the opportunity to shop and explore during one of the few days this great resource is open to the public. ![]() This workshop will feature an indoor educational session in the morning followed by an outdoor field trip in the afternoon to visit good examples of bird-friendly landscaping. In this workshop, participants will learn why birds need native plants, which native plants are "powerhouses" for birds, and how you can turn your backyard into a natural bird feeder. WORKSHOP: Backyard Bird Habitat - Sunday, May 28 from 9:00 a.m. ![]() Delta Township will be providing a free continuous shuttle from the Lansing Mall parking lot to Sharp Park from 12-6:30 p.m. The entire family will have a great time participating in the many fun activities which include, bubble soccer, battle darts, soccer billards, turbo tubs, inflatable challenges, 3D climbing wall, hoppy horses track, shooting water balloons from the Super Slingshot, a stilt walker, face painting, bubble booth, trackless train, petting zoo, children's identification kits, Project KidSight, children's make-it-take-it crafts, Delta Township fire safety trailer, games, dunk tank, tot spot, kid's bingo, sports challenge course, marshmallow monster pops, easel painting, concessions, business expo, non-profit area, and much more!
